51 - We hear the playback and it seems so long ago.

Just walked home from work and got stopped by a tramp asking for 20p. I'm normally pretty nice, and try my hardest to give them some change, this time I didn't have any, he was fine and apologised for bothering me. Just before he tottered off, I had a thought, a thought that has occurred to me in the past. If I were a tramp, instead of just living on the streets, I would try to rob a bank of something similar. Its a win win situation. If you get away with it your quids in, straight to the nearest 5 star hotel. If you get caught, prison, 3 square meals a day and a warm bed. I was going to tell the young man this, and advise him about the branch of HSBC around the corner, but the smell, of what I can only assume was dog piss was just too overpowering.

I'm going to apologise straight away, but this post is going to mostly about a few corking episodes of television and a couple of films I've watched over the last few days. If you don't give a shit, fair enough, come back tomorrow for some other nonsense similar to the above.

Doctor Who - Good episode that wrapped up the two parter very nicely, the new series seems to be back on track after a couple of disappointingly average episode. I like how they have kept the series long arc going like they did for the last two Doctors, this time a crack in time that is causing havoc across throughout the universe. Also helps that Amy Pond has the best pins on television at the moment.

La La Land - Pass the word. I've found a gem. I have not laughed at a straight out comedy since The Office, nor have I been as uncomfortable. Credit to The GF, not normally I watch but I laughed my tits off. Its by a guy called Marc Wootten who plays three different characters all trying to break it in Los Angeles. And we are the only ones in on the joke. Watch it [UK readers here is a iPlayer link] and enjoy it before it is liked by everyone [at which stage I will drop it as I can not stand liking what the masses like, I'm a culture snob I admit it]

Lost [S06E14 - The Candidate] - What the fuck? Death, death, death & death. On of the best episodes of the of the series. Its getting close to the end now, and I'm starting to sweat. Lost has been a pretty big constant in my life for about six years now, its my favourite television show [just pipping The Soprano's and The Office]. At least when it finishes I can start to watch it from the start, just this time with lots of understanding nods.

I also watched a couple of films this week, one was Into The Wild, beautiful. The other Gone Baby Gone, surprisingly excellent. Watch them.

And here is the secret trailer to the new Spielberg/JJ film, which is apparently a prequel or sequel to Cloverfield [which was fantastic]. Its called Super 8.

Finally, here is something to listen too, I know its a cover [and from an advert] but this guy could do alright.  He's called Fyfe Dangerfield and he's the lead from the Guillemots. Always a woman to me.

Nathan

P.s. I have not one, but two Chilli shoots. Fucking Grenclaws me.
