24th March - Ab aeterno
I think I may have just watched my favourite episode of television. I don't watch a great deal of television, I'm mega picky, I do however watch quality shows like The Sopranos, Dexter, Lost, and love well done documentaries, and good cooking shows. What makes a good television show, and what shows have over movies is that you get to know and love the characters, even grow with them as in Friends, Fraiser and literally in The Wonder Years.
Last nights episode of Lost, entitled Ab Aeterno was fucking immense. It focused on the back story of the intriguing ageless Richard Alpert - played by the amazing Nestor Carbonell - if I have a beef with Lost, its the fact they pile questions and mysteries on top of each other, when sometimes answers are needed. Well last night we got answers galore, I'm not gonna spoil it as it doesn't air in the UK to the weekend. But it fucking rocked. It is up there, if not better than the Lost pilot, The Sopranos episode Pine Barrens, and The Office Christmas Special.
Off again today, gonna get some beer, watch a couple of movies (may even review if they're good) and of course re-watch a couple of times. Will catch up later.
